About Greg

Since 1999, Greg has been passionately building investment portfolios used by clients to achieve their financial goals. Prior to Parallel he was co-manager of approximately $1 billion while at Sterling Capital Management. He also excelled as a Portfolio Manager at the Private Bank of Bank of America managing both client accounts and institutional model portfolios. Earlier in his career Greg was a founding member of the Trading Analytics team while working for the Charles Schwab Co.

Greg oversees the broad investment process and philosophy for the firm, which is combined with leading third-party research to develop Altum's investment outlook. This outlook is then shared with clients via regular market reports and videos and implemented throughout their portfolios. His investment philosophy emphasizes high quality assets, while utilizing both fundamental and technical analysis. He views a rules-based risk management discipline as a critical aspect to long-term financial success. Greg utilizes this process to select the securities in Altum's individual stock strategies and handles the trading responsibilities for the firm.

Greg and his wife Faith live in Raleigh, NC. Faith is an aerial circus instructor and performs all over the east coast. Greg holds his Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of Central Florida and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Mount Union. In addition, he holds the designations of Chartered Financial Analyst and Chartered Market Technician.

When he takes a break from studying the market Greg can usually be found riding his bicycle or walking in the park with his family.
